Ahead of tonight's live stream of The Last Drive-In's latest double feature, here are the latest batch of reviews from Joe Bob's first marathon. First up: Joe Bob introduces us to the Godfather of Gore, as Monster A-Go Go producer Herschel Gordon Lewis brings us what is considered the very first splatter film, Blood Feast! And yes, it delivers on the title. Up next: The movie that is like Joe Bob's conjoined twin, because wherever he goes, it follows! What's in the basket? Open it and find out, because it's Basket Case! Finally: We got a major cult classic rising from the grave! Jeffery Combs and the disembodied head of David Gale (as the head that gives head) star in the beloved 80's classic, Re-Animator! It's Mother's Day! What a better way to celebrate than reliving this weekend's double feature from The Last Drive-In! What? Darcy's a mom. It counts. First off we have the Italian Alien knock-off Contamination, with less spaceships and more dubbing. This one is from the director of Starcrash and writer of Devil Fish, so check it out! Up next, Joe Bob throws an artsy film at us for all the hipsters. It's a vampire love story without sparkles or Kristen Stewart, and it's called A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night! Another exquisite night of pristine filmmaking has been celebrated this week, with the knowledgeable guidance of Joeseph Robert Briggsinton and Darceleen, Madaam of the Postal Service. Two new pieces of critical analysis of The Last Drive-In are up now! First off, just can't get enough! Feast your eyes on the deliciousness that will kill you, in the biting (all these puns are intended) social satire of The Stuff! We conclude with another excellent course, as we dine on chicken straight from a hobo's pants with a side of dismembered penis. And waiter! I'll have a glass of Viper please, and leave the bottle. HOT TAKE ALERT! I don't like Game of Thrones. What a better way to celebrate the by all accounts largely dissapointing finale than by putting myself in the line of fire of fan rage as I review the Rifftrax versions of "Winter is Coming" and "The Rains of Castermere" (AKA The Red Wedding). Okay, you may fire when ready. But also know that there are TWO BONUS SHORTS! Learn a pair of moral lessons as we see the great Aesop fable come to life, Frozen Frolics, and what is just as much of an Aesop fable in Ten Long Minutes. |

Why should we take our kids out and see Toy Story 4 when we got a perfectly good DVD of The Little Unicorn at home? You know what, maybe we should have gone to see Toy Story instead. Meanwhile Little Unicorn is my latest Rifftrax review. Not just unicorns today, the toys come to life in a short that's...also not Toy Story. But we have fairies, wimps, and Santa in Santa and the Fairy Snow Queen! |

Due to technical difficulties (AKA Shudder took several months to completely crap out on me this time, instead of doing it right away), my reviews of Joe Bob's Dinners of Death marathon have been postponed. I'll continue to work on them and try and iron out the kinks in the meantime, but for now I'll be turning my attention to my next three MST reviews. I'm excited about this group! They coincidentally have a common element and are a pretty good batch of episodes. Think very big and with many legs... PLUS the third film in my trio will be my very first review of...  Yes, folks! It's time to christen that empty portion of my blog! Stay tuned, and get excited! |
