Awards season is behind us, let us now forget the one month of the year we celebrate good film and just watch total crap for the next eleven. I'm doing it my way at my blog: MST3K, Rifftrax, and Beyond, a website I created initially to put up MST reviews I posted for about the last two years, though last year I came up with a nutty concept of expanding to Rifftrax and Cinematic Titanic and the like. Last Halloween when I did Schlocktober for 31 Days of Halloween was a test for whether I had enough to say about Rifftrax, which more often than not I found that I did. Why do I write this blog? As I wrote in my Three Stooges in Color review: "Because I love finding weird and obscure movies that nobody cares about anymore, and film riffing is a highly entertaining gateway into the bottom of the barrel. Everyone has an opinion on The Godfather or Citizen Kane, and while I love both and don't wish to take away from those who enjoy spending time analyzing and dissecting films of that sort, I find much juicier and entertaining conversations can be had at the expense of Manos or Birdemic." So I thought I'd share my love with the world, and if anyone here wants to read it, here is an easy access page, and I already have over 150 entries posted. MST3K is mostly my priority, so almost all of my blog entries are for that show. I alternate between Rifftrax, Cinematic Titanic, The Film Crew, and Incognito Cinema Warriors XP gradually. I might expand to more fan riffs later on, but my plate is pretty full with all of these so far. Today's review: With a title like xXx I anticipate this Rifftrax is NSFW. Plus a BONUS SHORT: The short without a live show - Halloween Party. |
