There's a new host on MST3K. His name is Mike. I don't like him. His first episode is The Brain That Wouldn't Die, so check out the review before this show gets cancelled for jumping the shark. I go for one last round of classic MST with Bill Corbett and Mary Jo Pehl, as well as DEBBIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE! It's my last review of a Sci-Fi era episode so get ready for Devil Doll! Also, get ready for a pairing of Monsters and Devils, and a little Gypsy toy on the side. A retrospective of Volume XIX! Almost forgot! A reminder of the episodes already announced: the belated franchise expansion Gamera vs. Jiger, the Charles Band produced Robot Wars, and the low budget fantasy noir Demon Squad.
Also some MSTie sleuths investigated some of the designs from the Kickstarter updates and deduced that one of the movies is Beyond Atlantis, but we have not confirmed that yet.
The rest are a total mystery, though our hints for the Halloween episode is that it's in black and white (and Nate says the print looks gorgeous), in 3D, and Joel says it's "the next Manos."

I'm trying to keep as up to date as I can with the new episodes announcements coming out of Turkey Day, but I can offer no guarantees. It's a holiday and I have stuff to do.
So far it seems that Beyond Atlantis was confirmed. Also, in addition to Gamera, Santo will be making a comeback this season! Santo in The Treasure of Dracula is on the line-up!

Doctor Mordrid is next. This was a movie made by Full Moon when they had the option to use Doctor Strange. Instead they lost the rights before production and just rewrote the entire thing.

New titles dropped while I was at Thanksgiving dinner. We have the skimpy, soft core superhero knockoff The Batwoman. No relation to the far more popular IP The Wild Wild World of Batwoman.
We also have a KTMA reriff incoming, The Million Eyes of Sumaru! This was also featured on Rifftrax a few years back, along with its sequel The Girl From Rio.

New title is an HG Wells adaptation of The Shape of Things to Come. It's from Canada. PG Cooper IanTheCool The last time something distinctly Canadian was featured on the show was The Final Sacrifice. This movie has a lot to live up to and you better deliver. |
