And since I follow all of the MST cast on Twitter, I know Felicia Day gave this post a like. She hasn't tweeted anything, but it seems she's taking a pro-Whedon stance.

Whedon isn't exactly new to the entertainment industry, and yet this is the first time such a complaint has arisen. When a director is difficult to work with, word gets around. Nobody out there is bothering to tweet about how Michael Bay was abusive to them, because everyone already knows that's how he is. Kubrick was notorious after The Shining for the awful way he treated Shelley Duvall.
Why is it that Fisher is coming out with this vague statement four years after the fact?

If true, it's evidence that he's something of a shit bloke, but this is the first accusation I've heard of unprofessional behavior on set. It's also possible they're both related, but Fisher's claims are so vague that it's hard to get a grip on what Whedon actually did.

There is the likelihood that Whedon was having issues with his ex during filming which led to having a short temper on set, which is mostly what I'm assuming might have happened. But there are still too many puzzle pieces missing to be sure. |
