Lord of the Rings for the 5th time. I just finished reading through the books again, but I'm not sure how many times now. I read them during reading time at school, so it took me a long time but thats fine. Still my all-time favourite book; I dont care how cliche it is. I lost count, too. It was around 13, but I haven't actually read it for something like 15 years now. I'm endeavouring to go through Tolkien's entire oeuvre again soon. It's way overdue.

Halfway through tiamats and really don't want it to end so I've started I'm thinking of ending things by Ian Reed I wanna say.
Gonna be a Charlie Kaufman movie on Netflix, and since my library doesn't have his literary debut antkind I'll polish this off in its stead.

Tiamats wrath completed. Now gotta wait for the finale.
Tried this is how you lose the time war but the love story aspect got in the way of the pretty awesome world built.
Bout to start antikind by Kaufman, listening to vengeful again on Libby and it's still so good.

Really enjoyed it. They always surprise me every book pretty much. I'm not sure how or if they are gonna wrap up in the next one but what a great ride it's been.
Hope amazon can make the time jump believable. Assuming they cut it down to ten years not 30.

Yeah, they'll have to. I mean that's still a couple seasons away. Or one more: I can see them trying to fit books 5 and 6 into the same season

I just read Sundiver by David Brin. Its the firs tin the Uplift series, but wasn't very good. I've heard that the series is set in the same universe, but otherwise are very separate stories and that the next one is great. So I may continue, we'll see.
Jibbs have you read any of the uplift books?

Yep, both trilogies. Next book, Startide Rising, is pretty great.

Listened to red rising by pierce brown while walking dog this last week or two ... What a delight. Not sure why it didn't click for me when I was reading.
Invisible life of addie larue is back on my menu, doing audiobooks for this one again and it's finally turned up as we introduce the counterpart for addie. V.e. schwab is a true talent and I think she's gonna get a lot of her stuff snagged for movies and hopefully a vengeful series on hbomax or something.

In just over a month I've absolutely crushed the red rising series books that are available, and they are hands down one of the best series I've ever read. Insanely riveting, so many twists and turns the young adult angle is for maybe one bookish but pretty inconsequential.
Hail libertas. Hail Reaper.
Need something new asap, this dog isn't gonna walk himself, I need shit to listen to.

Still slowly working through the full LOTR books. Just started into The Two Towers. It's such a masterpiece.
