Breaking Bad is as great as a television show as The Da Vinci Code is great literature. 'Surface level' is giving it a lot more credit than it deserves.

I'm saying Kyle Chandler, Damien Lewis, and (especially) Jeff Daniels shouldn't have won one of those years. Yeah. All of those should have gone to Bryan Cranston. He wasn't eligible the Kyle Chandler year

Interesting that Game of Thrones wins big for what is likely its weakest season.

Yeah. All of those should have gone to Bryan Cranston. He wasn't eligible the Kyle Chandler year Chandler was a sentimental choice. Interesting that Game of Thrones wins big for what is likely its weakest season. There was less competition this year. Meaning... Breaking Bad being over, Mad Men being past its prime and Orange is the New Black being in the wrong category.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, Ian. But they deserved one at some point.

They say it's good, good enough. Sicario and The Martian are landing far better reviews this weekend.

My interest in The Walk is pretty minimal. Man on Wire told me everything I need to know and the trailers look very Hollywoodized.

Yeah, they say the actual walk is awesome but Zemeckis takes forever to get to it and all the build up is pretty tedious. It looks fine but nothing to rush out and see when The Martian and Sicario are in wide releases this weekend.

Critics say The Walk is one movie that's worth watching in 3D because Zemeckis pulled a James Cameron during that scene.

The Critics Movie Awards and the Critics TV Awards are merging. Basically, they wanna compete with the Golden Globes.

Carol is that lesbian movie. Spotlight is that pedophile movie. The rest... I don't know.

Tangerine is supposed to be good. These are the kinds of nominations that even I scoff at as being way too pretentious. I haven't seen Room, but it's getting damn good acclaim and should be on this kind of list.
