There was still some really good stuff after Season 2. Hell, the whole of Season 5 was as strong as 1 & 2, in my opinion. And the Season 5 villain, Prometheus, seriously gives Deathstroke a run for his money as the series' best villain, maybe even beating him if for no other reason than the fact that he won. Even Season 7 had a surprisingly strong arc with the prison episodes. Though if I'm being honest, they should've ended with Season 5.

He broke Oliver, and he was ultimately able to enact every part of his master plan without properly being stopped. Oliver didn't even really stop him, he died by his own hand on his own terms and everything he did in Season 5 started a chain reaction of Oliver's life basically going to shit in Season 6. |

He broke Oliver, and he was ultimately able to enact every part of his master plan without properly being stopped. Oliver didn't even really stop him, he died by his own hand on his own terms and everything he did in Season 5 started a chain reaction of Oliver's life basically going to shit in Season 6. Video footage on the news outed him as Green Arrow as he had just taken in his freshly-orphaned son and he tried stepping away and let Diggle take over the GA mantle. But Diggle by then was hopped up on painkillers cause of a nerve injury sustained when Prometheus blew up Lian Yiu in the S5 finale. Eventually, Oliver had to step back in and it was just one big domino effect all while hacker Cayden James (Michael Emerson) tore apart Team Arrow through manipulations. Everyone except Felicity left him/the team as a result. Then there was Ricardo Diaz, who just tore Oliver's reputation to shreds, leading to Oliver having to agree to go to prison for being the Green Arrow in order to take Diaz down.

The Arrowverse has run its course. Are any of these shows still good? I’ve heard that even Legends has massively dropped in quality. I still legitimately enjoy The Flash, but that might be because the newest showrunner injected a lot of energy into it last season. Black Lightning is also good, but that show's a lo more serialized and distances itself from the events of the Arrowverse, even though it's now part of it. But Supergirl had its worst season last year and Legends has turned into an absolute dumpster fire/dumbass farce. Batwoman was shit from the get-go, too. |
