The Brave and The Bold.Oliver, Arsenal and Diggle track down the location of a boomerang-wielding killer named Digger Harkness (guest star Nick Tarabay) but are surprised when they come face to face with an A.R.G.U.S. team. Diggle asks Lyla why A.R.G.U.S. is involved but she defers until Harkness attacks the building, killing several agents and targeting Lyla. The Arrow joins the fight and gets help from an old friend – The Flash. Harkness manages to get away and Oliver teams up with Barry again to find him before he can get to Lyla. When Harkness plants five bombs in the city that are timed to explode at the same time, both teams must come together to save the city. I was wondering why a member of the Rogues Gallery was making his first appearance on Arrow instead of The Flash. That explains it. Too bad we won't get to see Harley Quinn on the Suicide Squad, or at least not until the movie. Cupid is a poor substitute.

I liked Cupid. The actress did a good job, I liked her as well, but given a choice between Harley or Cupid, I'll always pick Harley.

Cool episode.
But The Flash crossover was better.

Cool episode. But The Flash crossover was better. Agreed. Flash actually had a fight between the two superheroes. Arrow never had a chance.

Plus, the episode of The Flash felt more like an event. This just felt like another episode of Arrow that just happened to guest star some of The Flash cast.

They cut the capture of the red eyed villain though - did they show that in the Arrow half of the story?

I think they should've used the same villain for both halves, instead of a different one in each.

Apparently, the crossover was the 2nd highest rated episode in the show's history.

Obviously. The question is WHO takes him there? Who did those feet belong to? Talia? That Asian chick in the flashbacks? ... BATMAN?

I'm curious as to how this story with The Atom is going to play out. So far, Palmer always talks about this suit as though it's an Iron Man kinda thing. There's never been any mention of it shrinking him down. I suppose the shrinking will have something to do with the Dwarf Star Alloy which has been mentioned a couple of times, and be a case of serendipity in regard to shrinking. If Ray wants to keep his identity as The Atom a secret, he needs to do something about that face shield.

There's not going to be any shrinking, I'm pretty sure they've said.
The producers have said they wanted to use Ted Kord/Blue Beetle (and there were even references to Kord industries in the first two seasons) but for some reason DC didn't allow them to use him as a character. So they basically just changed the name and made him Ray Palmer but kept the story the same. That's why he's building a robo-suit and not shrinking down.

I buy that the producers wanted to use Ted Kord originally, but not the notion that The Atom isn't going to shrink. The New 52 version of The Atom uses a device on his belt made from Dwarf Star Alloy to shrink down. If the producers of the show didn't intend to shrink Ray Palmer down, then there would be no need to include that detail on the show. For that matter, there is no reason to use Palmer at all if he's not going to become The Atom. There is no shortage of scientists who are up to the challenge of creating mechanized armor in the DC Universe. Any one of them could have been used instead if they just wanted an Iron Man knock-off. I do find it interesting that the powers that be at WB have other plans for Blue Beetle. I'd love to see a buddy superhero action-comedy movie featuring Blue Beetle and Booster Gold.
