Wonder Woman, created by clay and brought to life by Zeus, meets Captain Kirk and together they go on a mission to stop Ares and end the World War. All this movie was missing was Wonder Woman punching a young Adolph Hitler in the face. It has a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, last I checked, but it isn't the second coming of Christopher Nolan. It's alright. Gal Gadot is hot. Dr. Poison has an open invitation to my bedroom. Fisty Cuffs woman, I'd bang her. Chris Pine is an attractive dude. Lots of good looking people in this movie. But the plot is a joke and the action scenes are the punchline. Wonder Woman is a shitty character. Let's be real. Feminists, you deserve better than this. Watch Supergirl on Netflix. Melissa Benoist is fucking great and it tackles current day issues.

Did u really see it or did you just wank over those gifs for 141 minutes? I wanked to Gal Gadot walking through a World War I battlefield and stopping bullets with her bracelets in slow motion. Is there really a character names Dr. Poison? Yes. She's like... the third villain in the movie. The Scarecrow of the movie. Remember Batman Begins and its 50 villains? Same here. You have Ares, a Greek mythology bad guy because why not, Danny Houston who needs to stop getting hired and Dr. Poison. She's practically a James Bond villain. Disfigured face. Creates biological weapon that will end World War I in Germany's favor.

On it's own merits, Wonder Woman is a decent movie. I'd put it on the same level as Captain America: The First Avenger or X-Men: First Class. The plot is very simple and by the numbers, but sometimes that's all you really need. Gal Gadot delivers a far better performance than I expected any director could get out of her, so Good Job Patty Jenkins.
In comparison to the other films of the DCCU so far, Wonder Woman is a masterpiece. Diana does nothing that is too wildly out of character, and the villains don't do anything absurdly stupid. My main gripe is that it was far too clear that a great deal of footage was left on the cutting room floor. Characters just show up in places they need to be with no explanation as to how they got there, or how they knew they needed to be there, but they behave as though it's perfectly reasonable because it was addressed in a scene we never see.
7/10

Overall this was the best D.C. movie since the dark knight. Action was good, could have done without all the slow-mo blocking bullets after the first few, humor was solid and I disagree with the negative comments that feminists would love it, yes more jokes were targeted towards women but the movie is called wonder women what did u expect. I can say I didn't expect Ares to be who he was so that was a nice plot twist. Gal Gadot and Chris Pine did a great job and worked well together and It's a shame that this movie got banned in Lebanon. Final rating would be a 7.5. For sure got me hyped for justice league.

Steve knew where to go based on his intel as a spy. Even if he didn't, the Germans were hosting a "we're gonna kill everyone" party in a castle. They weren't difficult to find.

Didn't the director come out and say there were little to no scenes cut out of the final product?
Probably check it out in a couple weeks.

I doubt that's literally true, more than likely they were just trying to send the message that the movie wasn't cut to pieces like BvS or massively reshot like Suicide Squad.

This movie is so Richard Donner playbook I can't imagine anything being cut or reshot. - Origin - Wacky middle section - Ridiculous ending It's Superman '78... but mediocre.

Immediately after Diana and Steve get off the boat in London, they are heading straight to his boss to deliver the notebook. They stop at a women's clothing store to get her something appropriate, and Etta is waiting there for them. Later, after recruiting the conman and the marksman at a pub, they meet up with The Chief and suddenly the team has apparently been smuggled into somewhere in mainland Europe near the front lines.

All that can be explained with a phone call. They had phones in this movie, right? I recall a scene where Chris Pine is arguing on the phone with his boss.

Being instantly transported from London to the front lines near Belgium cannot. Pretty sure the boss walked into the pub and tossed a bag of money at Chris Pine. There's even a scene towards the end, before the last battle, when Chris Pine says to them "I ran out of money" and they say "we don't care. we wanna fight." Dude, I think you were drunk as shit watching this movie at the Alamo Drafthouse. All these nitpick of yours are easily explainable.

It was done for the sake of time (its already a 2 hr film) you don't need to see more time spent traveling... it does nothing for exposition. People need to see the story play out and paid good money for the action sequences... not to watch a bunch of people talk a lot on trains and traveling. Neverending is right, I don't know why you want more of that rather than moving on with the story.

What I did say was, " My main gripe is that it was far too clear that a great deal of footage was left on the cutting room floor." This does not mean that I want to see those scenes. It means that I'm noticing the missing scenes due to bad editing. I don't need to see a bunch of unimportant scenes. I just want the scenes that are present to be edited so that I'm not left feeling like something is clearly missing.

Easily best comic book movie since the First 2 Nolan Batman Movies. I say comic book movie because in ever since of the word .This was a comic book movie. Far better then Man Of Steel cause you cared about the Characters and Gal as wonder women showed emotion far batter then Cavill as Superman and BVS while I liked it well enough WW blows that movie away. I dont really care if it does not make the most money for the DCU. And Im not gonna say this means DC is saved and Marvel is done. Im just saying loved this movie and for me its the movie too beat in all fazes of the Summer. But I have not seen Logan Yet. and while Guardians 2 was fun. This by far was amazing visual film with a great Score and Directed well with Actors coming together to make a certain classic. Donners Superman reminds me allot of this origin movie IN A Classic since .Which has some irony I guess. I do wonder what they will do in Wonder Woman 2 and they best get Jenkins under contract tonight.I might be too excited for just seen it 2 hours ago. 10/10 and i rarely give those.

I find myself somewhat agreeing with RedVader for once, that this is the best comic book movie since the Dark Knight. I don't think it earns a perfect masterpiece score of a 10/10, but we all know RV doesn't really respect or put any stock into reasoned movie ratings.
I agree with Wyldstaar that this movie was almost a deja vu experience, reminding me of Captain America: The First Avenger throughout, but I found this characterization of Wonder Woman herself to be a much better character than Cap'n in that film. I also found this one a lot more emotionally engaging. My small criticisms are with the run time/editing. The fact that very little was cut was evident - the pacing was at risk of plodding in some parts, but it's like the filmmakers were aware and kept it from inching over the cliffside. The other plot point I didn't like was Chris Pine's death. I feel like a parachute and a grenade might have kept him from meeting his death, or given him a better chance than just shooting the bombs with a gun. In fact, if the concussion from the blast had killed him when he jumped from the plane and he was thrown to the ground, it might have been a lot more emotional if Ares then summoned his body over, sliced it into lots of pieces with his flying weaponry, and then started pelting Diane with the body parts. jk. I guess I can concede he was probably dead no matter what.
Nevertheless, the action, the plot, and one of the better origin stories in a comic movie film all made for quite the treat. I liked Chris Pine in this more than I've liked him in any of the new Star Trek movies, and the scenes on the Amazon island were just beautiful. I also did not expect Eres to be in this movie, and liked the twist of who it turned out to be. Very very cool villain, there.
Funny story: there was a guy next to me with his girlfriend, and she made a real scene in the theatre by cheering and "WOOOOO-ing" when the line was uttered about how men aren't needed for a woman to experience "pleasure of the flesh." All the guys I was with were all wanting to give that dude a hug afterwards.
8/10 - great movie

My quick review/status update from Facebook:
Awesome! Best superhero movie in a while. Is it the best DCEU movie? I'd need to re-watch Man of Steel before answering that, but this movie is still compelling as hell. It's obvious that the 1978 Superman movie influenced Patty Jenkins because it hits a lot of he same notes, and does it just as well -- if not better -- for my money. Diana is really developed as a character before we truly see her in action, which makes the action scenes all the more exciting when they happen. Plus, that musical theme for her! Gal Gadot hits it out of the park; she has charm and badassery to boot and her chemistry with Chris Pine is terrific. The film is also chock full of hope and leaves you exhilarated once it's over. Absolutely go see it!
