Excellent stuff
1) What's that neon looking Samurai movie? I must watch it.
2) I'd say the directors cut of Doctor Sleep is a great illustration of this. Really expands on the themes of forgiveness and fatherhood where they feel a bit short-shrifted in the theatrical.
Particularly in the beginning with Danny and Dick Halloran, as well as one towards the end of the film with adult Danny that I'd rather not spoil.

Kagemusha (unless your talking about the thumbnail, which is just Seven Samurai with a purple filter). It's one of Kurosawa's late period masterpieces. Definitely takes its time as it goes but it proves very rewarding. 2. That's encouraging to hear. I've actually been thinking about giving Doctor Sleep a 2nd chance so I'll probably opt for the director's cut. |

There's definitely an argument for Quantum over Diamonds but not Moonraker. The Shirley Bassey theme song owns, as does John Barry's score, Drax is a fun villain, the sci-fi elements are very cheesy but endearing, the scene where Drax sicks his dogs on Corrine is honestly kind harrowing, and the opening stunt work is way more exciting than anything in Quantum.
Also, "I believe he's attempting reentry, sir". Awesome.
