I watched Irishman in theaters as well. The night before I woke up at around 3 and couldn't go back to sleep mainly due to really stupid anxiety. My brain said 'you had better go back to sleep otherwise you won't make it through work and the movie tomorrow night, go back to sleep, hey you aren't going back to sleep, what's the deal? Well now your day is going to be ruined...unless you sleep right now. Go! Sleep! Dammit!' That lasted until I had to wake up. On my way out of work I packed cookies, sodas, Red Bulls, anything to help keep me awake. Not only did I not have a problem, not only did I not get up once during the 3 1/2 hours but nobody in my row or the row in front of me got up either. Everybody was just attached to their seats and fixated on the screen. You normally don't notice stuff like that but I absolutely did.

I watched The Irishman on my phone during a long road trip, as Martin Scorsese intended.

Also, I used to have hellish sleeps like that all the time when I was working at Tim Hortons in the Summers. I used to consider myself an early riser until I had 6:00am shifts 5-6 days a week.

I watched The Irishman on my phone during a long road trip, as Martin Scorsese intended. Often broken up in 20 minute chunks because I was getting bored. The only way to watch a Scorsese movie.

Neverending is torn. On the one hand I'm doing a video on a popular filmmaker. On the other hand, I went out of my way to pick one of the dude's least popular movies.

Insomnia is shit, but yeah, Nolan used it as a training ground. Also, I disagree on Memento being visually bland or whatever other slander you threw at it. The editing was a major factor in its success. It’s not just going backwards, but there’s those black & white scenes that exist in their own moment. And isn’t there flashback scenes in a movie that’s already going backwards?
Maybe instead of wasting time on shit like Insomnia, you could have done a video on how Nolan went from a brilliant editor in Memento to utter garbage in Tenet.

Which is not in and of itself a bad thing. What it lacks in art direction and camera angles it more than makes up for with a dynamite script. The Tenet blu-ray didn't come out until December 15th. By then I was almost done editing.

No one watched Memento and said, “did Kevin Smith direct this?” Next video then.

I'm sure you'll have plenty to say about the next video. I have plenty to say now. Like how you compared Robin Williams to Heath Ledger. Just because they both had untimely deaths doesn’t mean we should be looking closer at these Nolan movies. You’re so insensitive.
