Won't get to watch it until Monday, taking the family to the fair Sunday so by the time we get home and get the kiddos in bed and get settled down, will be time for bed ourselves. Gotta love internet TV though =)

The popularity of this show amazes me. 17.3 million people watched the show LIVE yesterday. Throw in DVR's and streaming, and that's a HUGE number for television.

Pretty amazing opening that should shut up those complaining about not enough action. The whole episode was just asses getting kicked. Good to see Carol back with the gang. The post credit scene had me confused, didn't recognize Morgan so had to google to see who it was. Curious how he plays into the new season, along with those marks on the trees.

Does it get more exciting? Yes.
Does it get 'better?' No. It's suspenseful, it's just poorly written and paced. Season 4 is pretty dreadful despite the action.

I've liked the season reasonably. I skimmed by some of the talky melodrama in the last episode, but enjoyed it for the most part. The very ending was good. Nice and emotional, plus Beth has been annoying me, so I'm fine with her getting offed. I think I was expecting the cannibals to have a bigger story overall for the season, so that was a bit disappointing. |

I still hate how they have Maggie remember Beth for the first time in what seems like an entire season and expect us to feel anything when she dies. |

I think I was expecting the cannibals to have a bigger story overall for the season, so that was a bit disappointing. The cannibal story arch was a good, but short, story arch. I didn't really mind after the season and a half war with The Governor. I'll take the bite-size encounters with human antagonists this season's been dishing out so far, because the human conflicts have been the best part of Walking Dead, but the group still needs a few days to recover to the fact that this has been the first time they're finally all back together (mostly) since the prison and decide what comes next. And although I haven't read the comics, word on the street is that something big is coming. |

I did like the season finale though, I thought it wrapped everything up good, even if it was a little sad. |

One of their best episodes last night. It was a surprisingly gory episode. We got a death very similar to Rhodes from Day of the Dead and watching Noah get ripped to shreds as Glen watched was brutal. Also looks like we might be seeing a return to a Ricktatorship which they need bad! |

Indeed. Plenty of gore. Although maybe just for the sake of gore, against logic. Why would you leave that guy without popping his head first, and let him be eaten alive? For that matter, I would have thought one would shoot him in the head anyway if they thought he was dead. In fact, the lady and I thought when they saw him moving that surely he was a zombie. But I suppose it's always good fun to see the effects. Carol needs to calm down. I feel like her craziness has come out of the blue too. |
