Best episode last Sunday, also 2 of the goriest kills yet. They lured me in with the false sense of security that Noah was going to have a bright and meaningful future as an architect, just to give him the worst death of the series.
Yeah, Carol is a bit extreme, but I don't think it's out of the blue. I feel it started when her husband died, and she was completely reborn when Sophia died. Since then, her methods and reasons have always been taken to the edge, with both good and bad results, but she's always been cool and collective, and seemingly without regrets, believing in her decisions, and the fact that she feels it's her responsibility to make those decisions that no one else can make, and always for the good of the group. She's adapted to this new post-apocalyptic world in the way that fits her best.
As for her fitting in Alexandria, I don't know how that will turn out because I've never read the comic, but I do feel that she is who she is now, and maybe Alexandria needs to adapt to her and the group's ways, if they expect to survive in this new world.
Sasha needs to calm down, her emotions are out of control since Tyrese died.

I just figured she hates kids now, but I also feel like the way she went about the two encounters with Sam was not particularly wise, regardless as to how she might feel. Perhaps that is what seemed out of the blue to me. I know she's become more hardened, and in many ways a badass, but that bout or two was really out there.

I don't think she hates kids, I think that after losing her daughter, and putting Lizzie down, she probably just doesn't want to get close to them anymore. But I agree, I think she could've handled Sam better. And I think her proposed solution for Pete is way to extreme. She's already been desensitized by her past acts and the world she's been living, but I think she'll let Rick make the final decision on this one.

I was being facetious about the hating kids part.
I wouldn't be against the show taking a right turn and the group going down a darker path. It would be hilariously awesome. Take the town, as it were.

I've only watched the first 2 episodes of this season and I'm debating whether or not it's worthy of my limited time to catch up to it. Can you guys let me know how you rank it thus far? Fairly decent. This season seems more like a set up season for a better following season, especially after such a classic season 4. There are some highlights, and probably some of the best deaths of the series this season, but it's more of a journey season. If you are even remotely a fan of The Walking Dead, I recommend. That being said, 90 minute season finale next week. Might as well start your binge. Good timing. |

Man that finale really kept me on the edge of my seat. So much speculation online about Glenn, Carol, or Daryl getting killed off. Daryl was the front runner because Norman Reedus is selling his place in Atlanta. Glen was next because of the comics and the Wolves thing, and Carol was brought up a ton too but I do not know why. Anyway, glad they all made it but damn did they do a good job of keeping me guessing until the very last second. |

Just found this online.
I know some people are getting a little tired of The Walking Dead but I am still super excited about it. This and Game of Thrones are really the only two shows I really look forward to now.

Like I said before, it's a poorly written show and it doesn't get better. It's exciting at times and fun to watch but that doesn't make a show great.

As said, I enjoyed last season, and I have been really enjoying this new season as well (thus far). Last season basically started a completely new chapter, and this new season has been a continuation of it. Last week's episode was pretty crazy and awesome. Still need to watch last night's episode. In relation to last week's show and the comics: As I understand it, Glenn is suppose to die in the comics around this time in the stories, but then again his "death" was awkwardly shot, leading me to believe otherwise. I could picture them keeping him alive a little longer just to be a surprise. Unfortunately I've heard that last night's episode is filler and doesn't continue the main story, which is kinda maddening. |

I'm not sure how I feel about the split stories at the moment. I would say they're interesting, but it's going to drive me crazy when I want to get back to the group with Rick more than anything else. Granted, the three obviously are going to converge and work together at some point.
