I think I'm buying two things at Barnes and Noble this summer for their sale. Two.

Wait till Christmas comes along. You're packaging it with Silent Night Deadly Night 2?

Can't say I'm particularly excited for The Others or Nanny (though it is nice the streaming exclusive Nanny now has a physical release) but the Tod Browning box-set looks exquisite.

I've been underwhelmed by Criterion releases for a great long while but the Tod Browning set is awesome.

Just last week, I had my first watch for The Others -- on DVD, since there's currently no Blu Ray release and it's not streaming anywhere.
Timing.

I grabbed Last Waltz and After Hours, rounding out my Scorsese grabs. Not much else released in the past few months that piqued my interest.

You'd be surprised what Criterion releases I own. But assumption correct, I am all over that Tod Browning release. Still waiting for more Chaplin and Lloyd. As for this sale, most of my money went to my trip to MST3Kon, but I did pick up the Josef Von Sternberg collection.

Mean Streets looks great. Days of Heaven is a good 4K release and also a return to an at one point out of print Criterion. I'm also happy The Last Picture Show is getting a standalone release, plus it's bundled with long hard to find sequel Texasville. Hopefully that movie comes to Criterion Channel soon too. I'd like to see it but already have Last Picture Show as part of the BBS set and don't know if it's worth upgrading just for Texasville.

Finally, a month I'm excited about with movies I want to buy. Meh. If you don't have the rights to Drunken Master or Snake in the Eagle's Shadow why even try putting out an early Jackie Chan boxed set?
Mean Streets is exciting though.
