Picked up Bruce Lee because fuck yes. Picked up Bringing Up Baby, because IanTheCool would want it that way. Also picked up Lonesome, mostly because I wanted to check out the bonus film The Last Performance.

I've been thinking of Anatomy of a Murder a lot recently and any of you that haven't seen it are getting it in the film club.
I apologize for the 2.5 hr movie.
But I will never apologize for Jimmy Stewart or George C Scott.

Found a used copy of F for Fake which cost about $15 less than Criterions usually sell in my neck of the woods.

Cool. Hopefully the cases are consistent with the regular Blu-Rays. I might blind buy Menace II Society as its been on my watchlist for years. As for Kane, the 75th anniversary blu ray is pretty thorough, but the thought of having it on Criterion is pretty appealing.

First look at the 4Ks.
Seems they'll blend seamlessly with the blus so I'm a happy camper. Also November is looking rad.

Being as it's four discs Citizen Kane will probably be bigger than their average package... but it will probably still be smaller than the ginormous current release.

I will probably store the old one in the archive (which is my name for the cardboard box in my closet with all the DVD/Blu-rays that I've doubled dipped), but I won't be selling it, firstly because it's rad and secondly because it doesn't look like Criterion will have The Battle Over Citizen Kane or RKO-281 on it.

And if there's any film I don't feel bad owning multiple copies of, it's Kane.

Isn’t Mank supposed to drop from Criterion pretty soon?

Isn’t Mank supposed to drop from Criterion pretty soon? Hard to say. I don't think it's ever been promised and it's not entirely clear how well this Netflix/Criterion partnership is going and wouldn't be shocked if one side or the other walked.
