Worst title imaginable. Worse than Attack of the Clones. And does this mean they're dropping "Episode VII" altogether. Just terrible and boring, it sounds like the title they give to a second rate Star Wars video game.

Well honestly it makes little sense. The force has already "awoken" in Luke (and arguably, Leia). This implies the Jedi were defeated again sometime between RotJ and this one.

Let me be clear; I think most of the subtitles in this series are pretty silly, with the exception of "A New Hope". In fact, "Star Wars" is a pretty silly title for that matter. The whole thing is just silly. |

People will either look back fondly on the name or look back and hate it depending on how well the movie does. Fanible is right, The Empire Strikes Back is pretty lame, but that's regarded as the best so far. If this movie beats that in people's eyes, they won't have a problem with the name.

The Empire Strikes Back sounds like a perfectly decent title to me, a little pulpy maybe, but that goes with the territory. The Force Awakens on the other hand is boring as hell and sounds like some focus-grouped reboot bullshit.

Phantom Menace and Revenge of the Sith both were amazing names I don't like Revenge of the Sith movies. It's terrible. Too much violence. I won't watch it anymore, but I like Star Wars 4-6. |
