Still trying to wrap my head around this being a Danny McBride project. Does not compute.

Earlier. Supposed to come out tomorrow.
Looking forward this. Really like Gordon Green and McBride. Think they're trying to a legit scary flick similar to the first one.

It'll be hilarious if they reveal tomorrow that this is another elaborate hoax Danny McBride is involved in, like that Dundee movie.

I'm skeptical of this movie to say the least, but as blah as the majority of that trailer was I think they sold me my ticket with the teeth dropping scene alone. That was some out of left field creepy.
I'm also kind of cheery at erasing Halloween II at long last. Maybe now we can stop pretending it's a good movie.

I like that this franchise has 4 different time lines: - Halloween 1 thru 6 - Halloween, Halloween H20 and Halloween Resurrection - Rob Zombie Halloween - Halloween and Blumhouse Halloween

Somebody was, I think. I keep hearing bullshit from Horror fans about how it's as good or better than the original (::shudder:: No...no, it is not). Maybe now the hot thing right now is saying III is some sort of misunderstood masterpiece (there are no words for this one).
Honestly there are no good Halloween sequels. There are enjoyable Halloween sequels, but that's about where it stops. And then there is whatever the hell Rob Zombie does, which probably deserves a scale of its own.

We were pretending its a good movie? SnoBorderZero is a Halloween II apologist. Somebody was, I think. I keep hearing bullshit from Horror fans about how it's as good or better than the original I don't think anyone has ever said it's better than the original. These are the same people who say On Her Majesty's Secret Service is the best James Bond movie. I beg to differ. Halloween 4 is amazing. Halloween Resurrection is a comedic masterpiece.

Well...I like On Her Majesty quite a lot. But I've only seen it once and that was a long time ago.
Personally I have heard people claim II is the best of the series, but they are mostly restricted to horror die hards who favor Halloween above most slasher movies. I rarely take the statement seriously, but I still find it curious that a surprisingly large amount of people respect the movie as much as they do.
If you catch me in a good mood I won't say no to watching 4 and H20. And I consider Curse and Resurrection to be on the funny-bad spectrum. I tolerate the first Zombie movie more than I like it, and then I'd go as far to say the rest are garbage.

I have heard people claim II is the best of the series I would LOVE to hear the reason for that, considering the script is the worst of the series. Michael Myers spends most the running time killing people in the emptiest hospital ever... and Donald Pleasance spends most the running time roaming around and causing mayhem when he could have just went straight to the hospital if he already knew Laurie was Michael's sister and the main target. Dumb, dumb movie. 4 is when Michael Myers goes into Jason Voorhees mode. It's awesome. H20 is just... Scream with Halloween characters. Curse is interesting to say the least.

Curse is fucking insane. It's just going in so many directions at once, and I can't help but laugh at how confused it looks doing it.
The Producer's Cut is more coherent...but not by a lot. It's not free of hilarious inanities that are exclusive to that edit. Especially in the third act. No matter what they did that third act was a wonderful disaster.

My issue with H20 and the new one is that it makes no sense. Let's take the new one for example. It takes place 40 years after the original. You're really gonna tell me a senior citizen is gonna go on a slasher-film-style killing spree? Get the fuck outta here. If you stick with the Curse timeline, at least you can say, hey, it's witches.

Can't say I disagree. I think H20 is servicable for 90's slasher fare if nothing else, and I enjoy the third act even if the rest of the movie is blah.
I really don't know what to think about this new one, which seems to be the same idea as H20 just done in Blumhouse style mediocrity. It could be fine, but I keep forgetting it's being made, see a poster, and saying to myself "oh yeeeeeeaaaaaah, this is a thing that exists."

Michael Myers would have been in his 40's... I guess, but it still had to deal with the dumb premise that he was waiting around for 20 years to kill Laurie and traveled across the country to do so. Also, Josh Harnett (or whoever the son was) is no replacement for Danielle Harris. I mean... come on.

I ... fucking love Blumhouse. The dude gets it. He knows horror better than anyone since Scream.
II has one of the best kills in the series, but that's really it (boiling water).
Paul Rudd will always be the Curse of Michael Myers guy to me.
I IV Rob Zombie 1 V III II H20 Curse Resurrection Rob Zombie 2

This movie looks like shit. Didn't think they could do worse than Rob Zombie did, but they're certainly trying. What the hell was this shot on? Looks like a high end DV camera, yuck.
