Yup, he made the right choice. He could've goofed around and been a Dwight Howard but instead wanted to be a champ. Shaq REALLY was a goof back then. Movie career. Rap career. Video game. He was more mature and focused with the Lakers. Anyway, going back to Horace. He said he went to Orlando cause he thought that team could win 3 or 4 championships. If Michael Jordan hadn't returned, that could have been possible. I could totally see that Magic team winning 96, 97, 98 and MAYBE 99. After that it becomes questionable cause the Spurs would have been the dominant team. Then again, what if Phil Jackson and the Bulls got their shit together. Or what if Jackson had left to coach a rising team. Maybe the Lakers. Maybe something else. A lot of what if's.

Lol, that is a lot of hypothetical statements. Shaq was a goof ball there too, but he won and dominated, unlike Dwight Howard.
You're forgetting the Jazz. They would've won titles if Jordan was gone. I'm confident they would beat the Magic, Stockton and Malone were in their primes.

Yes the West was weak those years, but they still won 60+ games and in 1997 went to 6 games. Their supporting cast was solid too.

Maybe not terrible, but they weren't really a match for the Bulls. 97 and 98 might have been the easiest finals that Jordan played. If I were to rank their championships from most difficult to easiest I'd say 92 vs Trail Blazers 96 vs Super Sonics 93 vs Suns 97 vs Jazz 91 vs Lakers 98 vs Jazz

I'd put Lakers as the easiest, but other than that I agree with your rankings.

I'd put Lakers as the easiest. It may seem that way cause of the 4-1 win, but all 5 games were pretty close. In the 98 Finals, you could tell both teams didn't take it seriously. Dennis Rodman and Karl Malone spent the whole series goofying around and even wrestled at WWF or WCW, I forget which, later that summer. And then there was the infamous Game 3 where the Bulls beat the Jazz by 42 points. Every single members of the Bulls team scored that night. That's how humiliating it was. By comparison, the Playoff series against the Pacers was WAY better and more intense. That went to Game 7 and the Bulls won by only 5 points.

Yeah you're probably right. I think I just put it on a higher pedestal because those series had such iconic Jordan moments like the flu game and the crossover shot over Bryon Russell.

Motherfucker thinks he's D-Rose. Speaking of which... how's Wade doing in Chicago? Heard they were gonna make the Playoffs.

Yeah, Cleveland always deals with injuries it seems, except for LeBron who continues to have to do everything and subsequently whines about it.
Wade has been alright but Chicago has been a definite disappointment. They're not a very balanced team. Wade and Butler are great 2 guards, the rest of the team is decent role players and not a lot of defense. You would think they'd squeak into the 6-8 seeds in the east still.

I don't want Warriors-LeBron Part 3. Which teams should we be focusing on for the Playoffs?

I don't want Warriors-LeBron Part 3. Which teams should we be focusing on for the Playoffs? Spurs, Warriors, and Cavaliers are on their own tier. Rockets, Celtics, Raptors, Clippers are on the next tier. Jazz, Hawks, Grizzlies (who should be better, I really like their roster overall) and Wizards are probably below that. Warriors have had some ugly double digit losses this season. I know we shouldn't read too much into regular season losses for them to teams like the Nuggets, but it's alarming to me. It shows that when the Warriors are down they're having trouble climbing back, which is absurd since they can score so quickly and easily. I want to see more of Durant taking over. Curry gets too cute with his poor shot selection (I know he makes it but still) and fancy passes, it's what cost Golden State the finals last season. I say watch out for the Spurs. If anyone can take down Golden State and Cleveland, it's them. Everyone else? Gotta pray for a miracle. Maybe Raptors and Celtics can challenge Cleveland, but I aint putting money on it.

Not everyone is Jerry West or Pat Riley or Larry Bird. Some people just gotta stick to the court.

Yes, but Jackson's public handling of the Carmelo situation has been awful. In his tenure, the only good thing you can point to is drafting Porzingis. He and Dolan together are the biggest disaster since, well, Dolan and Isaiah Thomas together.
