Finished it. Don't have much to complain about. Liked the little Twilight Zone note at the end. Hope they leave it be. If there's a season two they should do the anthology thing and do a different story.

Just watched the last 4 episodes tonight... A lot of emotions right now. Definitely a throw back to sci-fi/horror films of the late 80's early 90's... Which honestly when it's done this well, even with all it's cliches it's worth the trip back... El (eleven) is easily a show stealer... The actress has a bright future ahead of her, and from what I can tell, it will be crazy not to find out what's next for her and Will's story, which obviously isn't done with "Upside down dimension" This is a great show with a stellar cast and production. It's a strong show with a good cast (though I'm not totally sold on Winona). Even the kids are performing well and really, they are carrying the show. Five episodes in and I'm still interested. Usually I lose interest pretty quickly with television/episodic stuff, so I guess that's saying something. Yeah, I'm not a fan of Winona Rider here. She reminds me of Doug in House of Cards where I just completely tune out of her scenes. I think the guy who plays the sheriff is great though. |

The guy who plays the sheriff is one of those actors who's been in at least a dozen other movies or series you've seen before, probably even recently, but will only now begin to notice more often. He even had a few lines in Suicide Squad. His big break is still coming, and I won't be surprised if he finally nabs a role that will get him a Best Supporting Actor nod sometime in the next 3 or 4 years. David Harbour is his name. |

I think it could've been better had they given her more of a foundation. For example, a few opening scenes where she's not just insane. Then maybe level her out at some point during the series so that she's not at "10" the whole way through. I don't know. |
