Luke Cage is sooooooo slooooow!!! It's the only one of these Netflix-Marvel shows thus far where I've really had issue with the pacing.

Agreed, I could argue Iron Fist season 1 as well, but I will take that over either season of Luke Cage

I'd say that all of them suffer from pacing issues as some point. The worst offender for this has to be the first season of Iron Fist, though. The first three episodes in particular are of so little consequence that they could have been edited down into one episode. Having only ten episodes for season two worked perfectly.

I know I'm in the minority on this, but Iron Fist Season 1 didn't feel that slow to me. Luke Cage on the other hand, the first three of Season 1 were a slog and then there were maybe two in the middle. But Season 2 of Luke Cage...my God, the first NINE episodes were like molasses.

Well that sucks. Besides Daredevil this is the only show I actually liked... All the other defenders and Punisher don't do it for me

WTF?! They manage to turn the show into something I genuinely like and look forward to, and now they're cancelling it? Not cool!
Of course, when the original Iron Fist comics series was cancelled, the character was immediately moved over into the Power Man series, which was re-titled Power Man and Iron Fist. Considering the statement from Netflix that the character will, "live on" I'd say he's likely to show up as a key player in season three of Luke Cage.

Seemed like it was only a matter of time that all of Netflix's Marvel series would have to end at some point. Business-wise, it doesn't make a ton of sense for Disney to own a majority stake in Hulu, as well as starting their own streaming service, to allow properties they own to continue being produced on a competitor's network.
Kevin Feige's continued displeasure with most of the Marvel TV series could have also taken a step towards this. It's possible maybe future series will have a greater correlation with the MCU if Feige has more a say in parts of their production.

Until Ike Perlmutter finally retires (he's 75), I don't think Feige is going to have much say in regards to Marvel TV. Considering that the X-Men and the Fantastic Four are about to be a part of his toybox, he's got more than enough on his plate to stay occupied. If Kevin gives any thought to Marvel TV, it's probably just a matter of which toys have been taken out of his toybox for Ike to play with, and possibly break before he gets them back.
