Sometimes Reshoots are a good thing, I remember Lord of the Rings sequels had reshoots as well.

I think Lin is pretty good with group team ups and is very good at increasing the octane levels in a movie and Star Trek was pretty boring really as far as Space adventure goes in the last movie. A change had too happen and Orci doesn't really change much in his style.

And I guess since Simon Pegg wrote the movie he gets to be in the poster and look like a badass. We all remember what a badass Scotty was in the 80's movies.
