And a huge adoption to subscription services. I bought my ticket I doubt I actually go to that showing tho. Just the hype got me to lock a seat up.

It might also be because the source is Atom Tickets. I've never even heard of them.

Remember when they said Solo was outpacing Black Panther? I think they were just referring to the Kessel Run.

That's like the only movie that came out this weekend that I haven't seen with my Unlimited account yet.
Yes, I saw Playing with Fire. Yes, it's that bad.

Yes, I saw Playing with Fire. Yes, it's that bad. The stupid John Cena firefighter movie? Man, not even Doomsday went near that pile of shit and he worked on Goosebumps 2.

No joke, a lot of older folks are super down to see that movie. I think after you hit age 50 you automatically start gravitating towards all things World War II regardless of quality. My dad has asked me about it at least 3 times. There was some promo on Facebook that had three veterans of Midway, all of whom must be in their nineties at this point, sitting through a screening of the movie. I can't think of anything worse than making a war veteran pushing 100 sitting through that thing.

Yes, I saw Playing with Fire. Yes, it's that bad. Netflix/Hulu/Criterion Channel/Amazon/Vudu/PornHub all have other movies you can watch. The stupid John Cena firefighter movie? Man, not even Doomsday went near that pile of shit and he worked on Goosebumps 2. If you have to feel bad for anyone you should feel bad for Jeremy Ray Taylor, he went from It to Goosebumps 2. Yeesh.

Dude, I sat through Jexi and The Great Alaskan Race with this unlimited pass. I feel fucking invincible right now. No Nickelodeon movie can stop me.

Good news for PG Cooper. Doctor Sleep flopped. Good news for Doomsday. Terminator dropped from #1 to #5. Ouch. Bad news for PG Cooper and Doomsday. Midway opened at #1. Opening next weekend: Ford v Ferrari and Charlie's Angels

Should have dropped Doctor Sleep in October when people were in a horror mood 35 years ago, Freddy Krueger opened in November. 20 years ago, Sleepy Hollow opened in November, and on the same day as a James Bond movie, and was a hit.

Midway (2019) may have taken the top spot this weekend, but $17.5 million is still a pretty sad number for one of Roland Emmerich's visual extravaganzas. To make matters worse, from what I've read, Midway is an independent film. Emmerich had to fund the entire $100 million production with individual investors. I don't know what kind of deal he made with Lion's Gate on distribution, but considering that Lion's Gate reportedly only spent $40 million on marketing, they didn't pay much.

Anyone who chooses to invest in Roland Emmerich in 2019 kind of gets what they deserve.
