I remember seeing Home Alone in theaters. One of the greatest days of my life. The only time you saw John Candy on the big screen. Well, that and Uncle Buck. Don't forget Cool Runnings and in a way Rescuers Down Under.

Don't forget Cool Runnings and in a way Rescuers Down Under. My grandfather LOVED Cool Runnings. It's sort-of forgotten today, but that was a very Rudy-esque movie at the time. And yeah, Rescues Down Under. The bastard child of the 90's Disney Renaissance. I remember liking it more than The Little Mermaid. I don't think I would feel that way today, but it definitely felt more boy-friendly at the time. Aladdin and The Lion King probably made the movie irrelevant.

True, it wasn't like in the movie. My friends and I didn't use it for pranks like that though. We stole his sister's one time and recited all these dirty jokes and swear words and when she listened to it was horrified. I got into a shitload of trouble for it, but it was worth it.

I don't know how it was in California, or where ever it is that you lived, but in the late 1990's, lasers became popular for no reason other than to annoy people. I remember one time my cousin and I started pointing lasers at the apartment across from us and this one guy got made and came to our building looking for us. I won't lie. We almost shit our pants. Thankfully, he never figured out which apartment we were in. He was just angrily roaming the hallway and realizing that his math was off.

Oh yeah, laser pointers were the next step. Every day at school, some kid would bring one and shine it on the teacher's butt whenever they were writing on the whiteboard. It never really got old. Hell, I'd still probably find it funny if someone did that in a production meeting. We were kids before all this 6 year olds with iPads bullshit. The simple things made us happy.
I'm still pissed I never got to run the obstacle course for Legends of the Hidden Temple. I would've steamrolled any of those fuckers trying to pop out and scare me.

laser pointers were the next step. And yo-yo's. Fucking yo-yo's made a comeback before the century was over. I learned only one yo-yo trick. ONE! Did I ever tell you I was at a taping of Weinerville? Yes... Weinerville. Somewhere, in the vaults of Nickelodeon, there's video of me on Weinerville. This is why I can never run for President.

Lol, I totally forgot about that show. Was that filmed at Orlando or Los Angeles? You gotta request the tape from them, that would be hilarious.

That's how they got audiences for those fucking TV shows. They were all clueless tourists who wanted some air conditioning after spending all day in the Florida sun. I have no idea what episode I'm in. I don't think I ever saw the episode. I only watched random episodes of that show. They aired that shit like at 3 in the afternoon. Credit card? You goooooot it! Even as a kid that made me laugh.

Neverending is confusing me with Jibbs, whose favorite Potter movie is Goblet of Fire. I always flip-flop now between Prisoner of Azkaban and Deathly Hallows Part 1.

Hunger Games made $16 million last night. The second-to-last HUGE movie of 2015.

SnoBorderZero PG Cooper PhantomKnightSpeaking of 1997... I was looking at the list of movies that made the most money on Thanksgiving weekend and Flubber is on the list. Flubber! Remember that fucking movie? The thing I remember most about Flubber is that McDonald's had green spoons to promote the movie. You know, like if you ordered a Sundae or whatever, they gave you a green spoon. For whatever reason, I thought that was cool. I think I kept my green spoon until my mom threw it away.

Yup, I contributed to that movie. I wanted to see Starship Troopers but my parents said hell no and we saw Flubber instead. What a piece of crap.

The Hunger Games is #1 this weekend with $101 million. It's the lowest opening in the series, but the 5th best for a 2015 release. The numbers are good or bad depending on your point-of-view.
Opening on WEDNESDAY are Creed, The Good Dinosaur and Victor Frankenstein,

The only scene I remember is when Robin Williams is going to show off to some girl by falling out a window and having Flubber keep him from harm. But just as he falls out the window, the Flubber jumps out of his pocket and falls on his back. Classic Disney.

My only memory of Flubber comes from a time in middle school where the whole school was evacuated because of a hoax bomb threat. We were all bused to a local elementary school and were suck in their cafeteria with absolutely nothing to do and finally they finally wheeled in a tv and started playing Flubber... it did not help the situation. I mostly ignored it and played Connect Four with someone for the better part of two hours.
