Interesting notion, but I'd be shocked if anything came of it. Sony didn't sell Columbia back when it was hemorrhaging money and on the verge of bankruptcy. They're certainly not going to sell it now. Sony Pictures may not be setting any box office records, but they're currently in a position to potentially do very well with the Spider-Man related films.
