I'm catching my sister up on nine movies, including this one, before Endgame. It always blows my mind, because these are her type of flicks. She just loves big blockbuster spectacles with lots of action and visual effects. She's only watched four of the MCU movies since the original Avengers: Guardians 1 & 2, Black Panther and Captain Marvel. She loved them all and saw them multiple times.

So needless to say, it confuses me, but at the same time I'm excited to gauge her reaction watching all these others that she has missed out on.

I think Winter Soldier is where I stopped paying attention to "the plot" or maybe it's when it started getting muddled. Robert Redford and Hydra took over SHIELD. Did that actually lead to anything? The next relevant movie was Avengers 2 which I don't think acknowledged Winter Soldier except for Nick Fury being in hiding. Maybe Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch tie into it. Maybe Ultron was created because of the lack of SHIELD. I honestly don't remember. Then Civil War comes along, which does feature Bucky in a pivotal role, but that movie was more a follow-up to Ultron than Winter Soldier.
