I never say the first one, is it worth checking out? Without a doubt one of the funniest movies I have seen. I am already planning my tv binge watching menu for this weekend, can't wait for the prequel series! And yes, a can of mixed veggies will be on the menu.

Ok, 4 episodes in and I am really feeling it. Not quite as good as the original movie but the series is holding up pretty damn well.
The quadruple legsweep by The Falcon at the end of Episode 4 was amazing.
I really like how they are using this to explain some of the randomness from the movie, plus a few surprises here and there too. I wont go into spoilers yet but I am starting episode 5 now. Will get more spoilery once I finish off the series today/tomorrow.

Episode 7
5 mins in
"I'm gonna dip my balls in it!!"
If you are a fan of these guys, you know where this is from. I almost choked when I heard it. Hilarious throwback!

I couldn't get into this - they're in their 30's acting like they're in their teens and it just doesn't fly

I couldn't get into this - they're in their 30's acting like they're in their teens and it just doesn't fly I didn't care for the series as much as the original movie, but I still really like the idea behind this. That was actually the joke in the original. They were supposed to be counselors in their midteens, but the actors were all in their late 20's, early 30's. The joke is pushed even further as the actors are now all in their 40's, playing even younger versions of their teenage characters (the original movie was the last day of camp, this series is the first day of camp). The wigs were a bit too distracting for me, though. That was obviously a joke, too, but they were a bit too much and I would have rather just had their normal hair.

Well I wrapped up the series over 2 days and I really liked it. The first episode was a little unfunny at times but overall it is a great companion to the movie. Humor that would, in any other hands be juvenile and annoying, is made great by the cast and writers in this crew.
I give the movie a 9/10, I give the series a 7.5/10. I would have gone 8/10 but the new kid love story angle dragged a little too much.
Well worth the watch if you like the movie at all.
