I know I said before that I get weary when a show gets to this sort of length, but these writers and producers have kept things very exciting for the most part, especially this season.

Yup. Fridays during Seasons 6 and 7, and after that, it's been flip-flopping between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Pretty much, yep. Almost every fan would agree those two seasons are the weakest, then Jeremy Carver came back in Season 8 and got it back on track. The CW actually fired then-showrunner Sera Gamble in the middle of Season 7, supposedly due to the negative feedback that year. Seasons 8, 9 and 10 have been really strong overall, but they'll never recapture the feel of the first five seasons under Eric Kripke's direction.

Wow Simpsons is ahead by a lot. In seasons but not episodes. Gunsmoke has 635 episodes. The Simpsons has 607 episodes as of last weekend. It'll probably take another season or two for The Simpsons to become the true #1. Once that happens, they should really consider it ending it. 30 years. 600+ episodes. More than enough. You can't even binge watch this fucking show. 3-4 years ago I was re-watching the series and stopped in season...9? I'll probably die and never watch every episode of The Simpsons. edit: correction. As of December, Power Rangers has 831 episodes but half of that aired on daytime television. The Japanese version has 2,000 episodes and has been on the air since 1975. |
