Bro, you haven't seen The Apartment or Double Indemnity? You're failing on a Zack Snyder level for that one.

This July, every Tuesday and Thursday is dedicated to Westerns. They're playing around 100, including majors like Stagecoach, The Searchers, Shane, The Wild Bunch, the Dollars Trilogy, and dozens more.

Sad to see, but it was also clear this was coming. He's been away from hosting for a while now for medical reasons.

Major drag, I loved listening to his commentaries. I was almost pissed when TCM would air a movie without them.

I've been without cable for the better part of a year. One of the few things I miss is TCM. I used to pay more for a tier I didn't want just so I could still get TCM. Robert Osborne was one of the reasons for that.

I can't watch TCM anymore because I can't afford satellite (and I'd probably never use it enough anyway, aside from TCM), but of course remember him from his introductions. May he rest in peace.
I've been making up for the TCM hole in my life by going to TCM Big Screen Classics whenever I can. This week is All About Eve, which will be bittersweet knowing this news. Almost reminds me of attending that screening of Singin' in the Rain mere weeks after Debbie Reynolds passed. TCM had time to put up a simple memory tribute for that one, but since Eve started screening yesterday they probably won't have one for Wednesday's showing.

Not for old Hollywood films. Theres many special channels for Russian and Soviet films and a channel for Scandinavian films.
It wasn't very surprising that they closed it down tho as the TCM Nordic & Benelux and TCM Central & Eastern Europe versions were never well managed. Or maybe couple of years of their existence were managed like someone gave a shit.
But internet with legal and illegal ways brings us all we want to see.

I'm 3 years older now than she was when The Graduate was released. Blech. At least you’re still younger than Mel Brooks in 1974. Your Blazing Saddles/Young Frankenstein is still around the corner. And your Silent Movie even further than that.
