The first YouTube video was posted 10 years ago today. Celebrate by posting the videos that made you a fan of the site.

Here are the videos I associate with the early days of YouTube:

THE "HEY" MUSIC VIDEO

For those of us who used YouTube from the beginning, this is usually considered the first viral video on the site. Thinking back, I can't believe I used to follow these girls on MySpace. lol. I remember when Kevin Smith spoofed their video. Do Wyldstaar and @dukeleto also remember it? Speaking of MySpace, do you guys remember MySpace: The Movie? lol. I don't remember if MySpace: The Movie was YouTube exclusive or not, so I'm not gonna count it here.

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER IN BRAZIL

SnoBorderZero will be proud to know that this is the first video I watched on YouTube. I was in college at the time and beta testing the site before its full launch and I typed in Brazil into the search engine because I was hooking up with a Brazilian chick at the time, so Brazil was in my mind, and this is literally the first thing that popped up. Seriously.

BROKEBACK TO THE FUTURE

This was the first video I ever posted on ComingSoon. I'm sure it was one of the first videos ever posted on ComingSoon... or probably the first. Who knows? Jibbs , do you? I'm sure you have all 16 years of ComingSoon archived somewhere.

JAPANESE SPIDER-MAN

This is my contribution to YouTube history. When I found this video in early 2006, I made sure that everyone I knew saw it. I take full credit for the discovery of Japanese Spider-Man.

And of course, who can forget...

PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME

We can probably credit this video for 10 years of YouTube.

I hesitate to even post this, but I actually knew someone who was a minor Youtube meme in the early days. He made this video of himself singing along to a Jay-Z song in this really dorky way and it was kind of funny. He eventually got embarrassed and took it down, but I still snuck a copy of it onto another video site

I can not even begin to account for all the time I have wasted on YouTube since its creation. So many fail videos, movie trailers, music, cars, educational and training videos. I do not upload much. I have done maybe a dozen videos over the years, mostly of my kids. I should take advantage of it more.
