I watched Doomed last night. It was a bit heartbreaking. There was no good reason for FF to have been completely shelved like that. None of the various explanations made much sense. While making a low budget movie to maintain the licensing rights is reasonable, not releasing the film was a waste. The Fox version of FF didn’t come out for another decade, after all. Even if there hadn’t been a theatrical run, the sheer number of video rental stores in 1994 would have guaranteed a strong profit.
