I'm not sure we have a "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" thread yet. If you wanted to start one, you could, in the television subforum. I loved/love Whose Line. Some of the best television ever made. I fell behind on the new series, though. |

I do improv comedy in my spare time. If there's one thing improv comedians hate more than anything it's Whose Line? But otherwise I've always enjoyed it.

If there's one thing improv comedians hate more than anything it's Whose Line? Why? A lot of improv comedy is long-form improv. Taking a suggestion or idea and making a single scene or running scenes off of it. Whose Line is a bunch of improv games that, while still funny, are very different than how a lot of improv comedians perform. They don't hate Whose Line for anything that the show does in particular, they just hate being compared to Whose Line. 'You do comedy? Like standup?' 'No, I do improv comedy.' 'Oh! Like Whose Line?' 'NO, NOT LIKE WHOSE LINE!' |
