Just read that Robert Z'Dar passed away a couple of days ago. I know he isnt a big name but if you grew up on 80s/90s action films you know him. I loved Maniac Cop when I was younger. Might need to find a copy and pop in and give it another whirl. RIP

I haven't watched Maniac Cop in 20 years. It was a staple of late night television.

Robert Z'Dar had a jawline that nobody could forget. I first saw him in Tango & Cash. Lots of incredibad movies to his credit, like Maniac Cop, Samurai Cop and Killing American Style. Z'Dar was supposed to be a part of Samurai Cop II, which I believe is still filming. I hope he'll still be a part of the film once it's complete.
