It is off to a surprisingly good start. Granted, it's still quite early, but it currently sits at 100% on RottenTomatoes from early screenings. Here is the Red Band version of the trailer:

I saw a commercial for this movie that didn't have Melissa McCarthy in it. I'm starting to suspect this is secretly a Jason Statham movie.

A few of the commercials have been funny and word-of-mouth is pretty good. The plot for the movie is stolen from Johnny English and the Get Smart remake but if its funny that won't matter.

I'm still recovering from The Heat. I don't think I'll be able to see another Paul Feig movie for a while.

So many positive reviews....I'm so confused! I want to hate their Ghostbusters reboot plans but clearly they are capable of getting shit right, in the right circumstances.
My interest has gone from 'Enflamed Hatred' to 'Let's See What Ya Got'. The response to Spy is incredibly encouraging.
I just hope they realise that they're only going to get one chance with GB, and it is the chance of a lifetime.
Bring it on, Feig.

At least we know they're capable. Let's hope they treat it with the reverence it deserves.

To be fair, a lot of the good will for Spy is highlighting the Stath and Jude Law, as if they'd never done comedy before, which they blatantly have.

You'll see this AND the Entourage movie. Sorry to disappoint you, but I'll be watching neither and happy to do so. I'll watch Rambo II 20 times before watching those once.

Why the Rambo II hate?
I'll steer clear of this movie for sure. There's obviously a disconnect between what I find funny and the rest of society. Bridesmaids, okay I get that the female ensemble appealed to a lot of people. I thought it was garbage but I get it. What I don't get is The Heat. That movie is a waste on every level. 65% on RT? What were they watching? I seriously can't wrap my head around it.

Yeah I mean "Bridesmaids" had it's moments for sure and overall I enjoyed it enough for a comedy, but "The Heat", where the hell was the appeal in that?
Rambo II is just our movie to rip on this week and insert as jokes. Next week Neverending will have a new one.
