This is a strange movie. It starts off REALLY bad. I cringed A LOT. But then Liam Neeson and Charlize Theron show up and the movie starts to progressively get better. Like, literally, every scene is better than the previous one. Even Seth MacFarlane's acting gets better with every scene. Was this movie shot in order and MacFarlane became a better actor/director every day? That's the only explanation I can think of. Also... great cinematography, great music and hilarious cameos.

I don't have time to watch one episode of The Wire and yet someone's watching this TWICE? Have you ran out of TV shows?

This movie sucked, he should never star in a film ever again.

I saw this was put on HBO Go and gave it about 15 minutes of my time before turning it off. Assuming those 15 minutes are a reflection of the rest of the 'film' (use that term loosely) this is certainly an F film. Just completely and totally awful.

All the "best" parts are in the trailer, what a stinker.

Seriously, and his smug, annoying commentary got really old. "Oh look, this outdated 1800s technology I can make fun of in retrospect since I'm writing this in 2014! I'm so smart, people were dumb back then!" He did that so many times and it was never funny.

Hate to compare the two but there are similarities.

There are at least a few things in History of the World that are funny. That said, I've never been a fan of that movie either. It's not a F movie but it's not a classic like people say it is.

I dug Mel Brooks when I was a teen but trying to rewatch his stuff recently and most of it is pretty terrible except for Blazing Saddles. McFarlane is about the same, funny in my early twenties but just boring now.

And I'm sure he has seen that film, so he's a derp.
