Um, I didn't suggest that. At all. I see first hand how prevalent they are in my own country. I even sense it in myself as a well off white man.
England in particular is in a precarious position of being on the cusp of electing a political party with an insanely backward, non-liberal, anti-immigration bent. It's genuinely scary, and I say that as someone whose best friend is a quarter Algerian. I can't even imagine what it is like to be him in certain scenarios because I'm lucky enough to have been born into the most privileged demographic to ever walk this earth.
Much less has changed than our governments would have us believe.
