It's funny, because one of my friends was pretty persistent in the girl he kept asking out. She would always say no. Granted, maybe it wasn't as harsh, but nos nonetheless.
She finally caved and decided to give him a chance for a single date. They've now been happily married for about 15 years and have had three kids.

Granted, maybe it wasn't as harsh. Yeah. That video is too one-sided. Maybe the kid is a creep. Maybe the woman is exaggerating for social media attention. Maybe it's a little of both. I guess the lesson is that you can be persistent but not TOO persistent. You don't want to smolder people. |

The line dividing persistence and just embarrassing yourself is hard for some to judge. This is especially the case for teenage boys. Their hormones are overriding what little good sense they may have.

In my experience, persistent doesn't become too persistent until there is a restraining order involved. Sometimes, not even then.

Dumb video. The lady is apparently in her early thirties so how old can her kid possibly be? It's not like she's chastising a 25 year old guy for stalking her daughter. Besides, persistence has resulted in many, many great relationships.

One of my friends had a kid in high school. Every high school has girls who get knocked up. But that lady doesn't seem like one of those people. She's too soccer mom. The girls who have kids in high school usually come from troubled backgrounds and probably wouldn't waste their time making YouTube videos. |
