Episode VII certainly made the narrative whole small.

That Whole Star Killer base planet destroying part kinda felt unmeaningfull. The planets looked like pin balls in a arcade game more then planets being blown up. Its just weird how in A New Hope You Felt There was the whole Galaxy and in The Prequels you do see that there is allot more there. Episode 7 felt well small even tough had four planets. I think there was not enough Space Battles and Sequences. I even thought at times the Space part of it seemed off cgi wise.

There's been three movies with a death star and the whole thing doesn't even make sense. Can the death stars move at light speed? If not, then it's not a very good weapon.

Why hayden was the only problem i had which i can get over. There are things i liked about the prequels.Things that George Lucas did well in his movies that i kinda will miss going forward. Personally One problem Episode 7 did was made Star War Galaxy seem very small. While George Made Star Wars film seem big and the Galaxy very large. That's a fair observations.

Well Tarken says one of his best lines in the movie. Set Your Course for Alderaan which implies it kinda can well atleast the first death star. I think Death Star 2 couldnt yet because it was just weapons ready. As For Starkiller Base. I think it moves but slowly. Cause while yes it get close too a new star. My guess is its no more faster then regular space travel. Its way too big and bulky too move in hyperspace speed. Plus is was part planet while small death star was all man made.

Yeah, exactly, the idea that that thing can go at galactic speeds is crazy even for a non-science fiction, science fiction movie.

It's a good point... but is it accurate? If everybody's got warp drive, travel would be that quick/easy, wouldn't it?

If they thought it was normal, they would have showed it go into warp speed. They didn't, because everyone would have cracked up laughing.

It obviously could go hyperspace since death star one fallowed the Falcon to Yavin. The New Order Base you have too wonder though did it have too go anywhere warp speed . Im willing to bet there are several bases that maybe could bee like this one. Its never said it was a Death Star but Starkiller Base like it was thats base name. Maybe that base moved but by dark side magic but nowhere near the smaller Death Star. My guess is there will be a New Master base called something else in episode 9 but in episode 8 we will get more idea of the fleet size ships wise.

Good news and bad news for Jibbs , Doomsday , Dracula , SnoBorderZero , PG Cooper and IanTheCool and maybe Deexan and FShuttari too. Disney watched Rogue One and... weren't thrilled. It's too dark. It's too much of a... what do you call it... a WAR movie. So... they ordered re-shoots to lighten shit up. Make it more like, you know, The Force Awakens. So... if this movie sucks, you know who to blame.

Just wait till they watch Episode 8. Can't wait for the Boba Fett film. "It's okay but... does he have to kill people? I mean I know he's a bounty hunter but come on!"

Well, that didn't take long. I thought it'd take at least 5 years to destroy the franchise.

No, it couldn't.
Where was the studio intervention when we needed it?

Where was the studio intervention when we needed it? With the exception of A New Hope, all Star Wars movies under George Lucas were made independently. Fox had to bite their tongue and hope for the best. It's the opposite now. Disney owns Star Wars and is being very calculated. The Force Awakens, good movie, but incredibly safe. Rogue One was supposed to be the edgy one, but Disney got cold feet. I think that tells us what to expect for Episode 8, 9 and the spin-off's: they'll be safe too. Like Dracula said, the prequels sucked but at least they took a chance or two.

All the MARVEL films are made with pretty safe bets to get the most seats in the theaters as well?

It's so stupid when you consider that there's no way the movie could fail.

Sigh... honestly, if they have Han in this movie I may not see it at all. They already cast the actor and are getting ready for the Han Solo movie. If they're tying this movie to that movie, my guess is that the Han Solo movie will be about whatever Han Solo did to piss off Jabba the Hunt. Supposedly, Rogue One ends exactly where A New Hope begins. So, Han Solo may end right before the Cantina scene.
