Interesting. I also recently discovered that "Breathless" was remade in the '80s starring Richard Gere, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised at anything.

I've only seen the Kubrick version. The Kubrick version is very tame. The remake is the one with balls. I mean, you already watched 2010. So you might as well watch the two Lolita's and compare them. I'll probably check it out at some point.

I was more listing them as one because I couldn't be bothered to try and figure out which one I liked less or more.

That was an occasional watch, but I never really got into it. I loved my horror movies when i was 10-13y/o, especially Halloween and the early Freddies. Tales From the Crypt just seemed too silly to me.
The Outer Limits, on the other hand...that was a trip.

Interesting that when I saw him live on Monday at Interstellar introduced just after Nolan, Zimmer got the biggest cheer out of all the guests.
The guy has a dedicated following. Your list of his greatest hits kind of explains why.
1. Interstellar 2. Gladiator 3. Inception 4. The Dark Knight (his explanation of the Joker theme is so fascinating) 5. Batman Begins (shout out to James Newton Howard) 6. Sherlock Holmes 7. Pirates of the Caribbean 8. The Lion King (owes a lot to Elton and Tim though)
I've seen more but these are the memorable ones.

Yeah, after re-watching Interstellar yesterday, I'm thinking I'll have to bump that one up a few slots. I'd say that film probably has the best Zimmer music-set closing montage of scenes in a Christopher Nolan film thus far.
