Yeah, he's also an average actor.

If they would have Traded Bale For Ethan Hawke and the Thin Looking Indian For Danny Trejo. Then I would have been excited.

It looks about how I'd expect a 2016 version of The Magnificent Seven to look.

How can you not have Robert Duvall or Kevin Costner not in Western Like This. Im a bit old school and I think my list would be a bit differant as the best in the west.

This looks like the opposite of a western that Robert Duvall or Kevin Costner would be in.
Open Range by the way is highly underrated.

Im saying I would have Casted them with Smaller parts of certain Characters as a guest cameo.
My idea Of The Magnificent Seven Would Be
1 Samuell L Jackson. 2 Robert Downey Jr. I Can see him as a fancy gun slinger for higher type. 3 Christian Bale. 4 Chris Pine Would Have Been A Better Fit Then A Chris Pratt as That Character. 5 Danny Trejo Just Because He screams mexian Bad Ass and well like him as a good guy. 6 Kelly Hu and Why Not Why Cant we have an Asian Gun Fighter and we have a women. 7 Viggo Mortensen- Id like too see him as a Grizzled Gun Fighter Not per say Clean cut like he was in Appaloosa.

I am so happy that Vader isn't a casting director.

Looks good, but Pratt seems out of place.

Why is it when I say that oh its just crazy Vader non since . Pratt seems off too me as well. I like the Guy Fine as Star Lord and Jurassic World. Well I am not perfect casting i admit but too be honest i dont know the ages of each character. I know Kelly Hu Likely is a bad idea. And Maybe Sam because have notice not the best mobile character. Im not going to take off RDJ, Viggo or Christian Bale. I just love too see any of those in a western setting.

Watched this today. It was about what I expected. They removed the classic music and replaced it with something blandly generic. The nuanced story taken from The Seven Samurai was replaced with a blandly generic one as well. The characters were made as distinctive as possible while also lacking any real depth, and were far removed from the originals, aside from Yul Brenner's Chris (Sam Chisolm) and Robert Vauhn's Lee (Goodnight Robichaux). Any notion that our hero Sam has helped this poor town out of a sense of honor is tossed out the window during the finale, when it's revealed that the villain is responsible for murdering his family years before. How original. Never seen that before...
On the whole, it's not bad. It's just not particularly good, either. In a desperate attempt to engender itself to the audience, they finally play the original theme during the closing credits. If you've never seen the original The Magnificent Seven, watch that instead. If you've never seen The Seven Samurai, watch that instead. If you've seen them both, and have nothing better to do, this new film is a mildly inoffensive way to kill two hours.

I watched the mediocre sequels to the original Magnificent Seven, so I'll probably watch this eventually.

I heard it doesn't pass the Bechdel test so I'm out.

I heard it doesn't pass the Bechdel test so I'm out. True, there is only one significant female role in the entire movie.
