Adventure Time is so much better than Spongebob.

Adventure Time is so much better than Spongebob. It's deeper than SpongeBob and more appropriate for a movie, but SpongeBob is funnier and more accessible.

It's less embarrassing to admit you watch Adventure Time as an adult than it is to admit to watching Spongebob.
I still watch both, but I'd rather watch an episode of Adventure Time than Spongebob. Spongebob has been around for too long and I find that good episodes are rare.

I'm curious how this will work. I love the show, but the animation is indeed quite simple. Will the movie keep that animation style? It would have to for the most part, surely. But then is the movie simply going to be an hour and twenty minute episode?
I suppose even that would be interesting, considering episodes are only 10 minutes long. One long story at even one and a half hours would be quite expansive by comparison.

And plot-wise, it'll probably be the same thing. Focus on the origin. In the case of Adventure Time it'll be the war. So the movie could possibly be darker than the TV show.
