If they're smart, Disney will simply stick with the look of the original, that way they can just mix old episodes in with the new. It's not as though modern kids have seen them, and the quality of animation used was above average for the time.

I couldn't tell the difference between a 60's Jetsons and an 80's Jetsons until I was a teenager. |

What is there to condemn? It looks like a perfectly good children's cartoon. It does nothing to detract from the original, and will likely serve to help introduce modern children to an animation classic. Every time I go to the video section at Costco, the entire Disney Afternoon is there on DVD. |

Wow! Nice! I haven't seen it in a long time. I remember I watch the old cartoon TV show since I was little. I miss the old cartoon TV show. THE TREASURE OF THE GOLDEN SUNS (1987) While thebtskink used up a box of Kleenex watching the shitty reboot of DuckTales, I dusted off the original. The Treasure of the Golden Suns, the TV movie that set up the series, centers on Scrooge McDuck searching for a temple made of gold that also has gold inside. This motherfucker already has a building filled with gold. Does he need a temple too? That's sort of the point. When we meet Scrooge, he's a loner obsessed with business. Then in a matter of days he's stuck looking after Donald Duck's nephews, hiring Lunchpad McQuack and seeking the help of Mrs. Beakly and her granddaughter Webby. Throughout his journey he learns the importance of family and gives up on the gold. It's Disney. What the fuck did you expect was gonna happen. But while someone like Dracula would get caught up on the sappiness, the rest of us can enjoy the Indiana Jones style adventure, the fast-paced humor, the classic Disney animation, the great voice acting and the awesome music by Ron Jones (Star Trek: The Next Generation). So I finally watched the reboot. It's nowhere near as good as the original, but it has all the nostalgia hitting you. Love that David Tennant is Scrooge. Pretty much perfect casting.
