This feels like a kneejerk reaction because Prometheus didn't deliver, box office-wise. There's also gonna be a Prometheus 2. And, Ridley Scott is producing the new Alien movie. So don't jump on the hate-wagon yet. |

I know, and I'm looking forward to Prometheus 2 despite my disappointment with the first one because the ending suggested that they may have loftier ambitions.
Based on Scott's recent output though my faith may be misplaced.
And Scott producing a movie holds no kudos I'm afraid.

I'll see Prometheus 2. I didn't even really care for the first one due to the poor script, but conceptually I thought it was cool.

Hurm, I'm not sure how I feel about them erasing Alien 3. I hate what it does to Newt, Hicks, and Bishop, but where Ripley's character goes in that film is pretty interesting.

I fear the use of CGI to make the cast from Aliens appear younger, if it is really a true sequel.
Just make up some science mumbo jumbo about a malfunction in the cryosleep tubes to explain them being older. Please GOD do not use creepy CGI to de-age them. It never works well.
As far as the new director, well I barely enjoyed D9, never bothered with Elysium, and Chappie looks like a crappy Short Circuit remake/update so not really interested in it. I did however like his concept art he put online for this so I will not let his previous work ruin it for me.
