It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FXX)

Just the first few? I've always thought IASIP feels like one of few shows has maintained quality as the years go on. The show is ridiculous because the characters were never really normal. It's not like they had massive shifts in the character's personalities. They have always been narcissistic, egotistical and overall terrible people.

I really enjoyed the first three or four seasons but it's been shit for a long time. They are literally remaking previous episodes (Charlie's Mom Has Cancer, Gun Fever: Still Too Hot, Lethal Weapon 6) which is kinda sad, it's a desperate shell of its former self.

I still think it's great. I don't really see how it's not as good. I'll say that there was a lull somewhere in the middle seasons, probably between 4-6 (or somewhere around there), but the later seasons, especially season 8, have been awesome. While they may not be as hysterical as the early days, they make up with a lot of creativity and clever narrative devices to keep things pretty fresh.

The latest episode is a great example.

And yeah, they may rehash things every now and then, but they keep it funny and they're pretty self aware about everything, which usually makes for some interesting commentary on the show itself. Give it a try again.

Really, I thought it was really funny. Charlie's answers were hilarious, especially the dragon one. I agree that maybe it wasn't the most interesting or bold in terms of story, but I got some good laughs from it. It was essentially a bunch of inside jokes from throughout the series fired off as answers, so idk I had fun with it.

But I totally agree that this season has been awesome. Funny as hell, I love that the characters now are just completely off-the-wall. Dennis is truly becoming psycho, Mac is finally being gay, etc. Great season, can't wait for tonight's episode "Frank Retires", lol.

Haha, absolutely! I just thought it was hilarious that all of Charlie's answers were right. And when he tried cottage cheese for the first time too. Great show that keeps getting better.

The asylum episode was awesome. "Frank, you are Froggy!" My friends and I repeat that line all the time, hilarious.

Man, last nights episode was a return to greatness. So much awesomeness packed into so little time.

Well the season is over. Without a doubt, Charlie Work, was the best episode. The Birdman style shooting, the bar stool prank, a painted Frank, and my favorite line of the season - "Look at me when you're talking to me!!".

That should have been the finale. The finale was good but not one of their best for sure.

Second best episode goes to Frank Retires. Blood Buckets, Franquito, and good old school scheming. Solid.

I only saw a few episodes this season but for the most part they were way, way better than anything they've had the previous 3 or 4 or maybe even 5 or 6 seasons. Granted I hated the ski trip one even though it seems most everyone liked it. The suburbs and Being Frank episodes were great though, right up there with classic Sunny episodes.
