Give your wife my regards.  I got stung by one on the thumb last summer, and it was agony for hours.  I can't imagine how bad it would be on the face.

I have mixed feelings about gun control. I could care less about hunting rifles being readily available (very very very few crimes are committed with them) but I see no need to allow assault rifles to be available at all and while I do see how some law biting citizens might have use for handguns I feel like the criteria for how they get handed out should be way stricter. When it comes to people walking around in public with weapons I get a lot less open minded. Put simply, I don't want to live in the wild west and the notion of people walking around with firearms just doesn't sit right with me, which is why I'm actually more open to concealed carry laws than open carry laws. I kind of don't care what logical arguments for these laws might exist, I just don't like them. Beyond that, I just don't see too much of a solution to America's gun problem. The fact that firearms are so readily available is detrimental to the country in many ways but the odds of it changing anytime soon are nil.

When I said "hunting rifle" I was of strictly referring to bolt action rifles, not a semi-automatic ones. 

For the greater majority it is. You can't stereotype a group unless you are fine stereotyping all groups.

I am surrounded by hunters in this area and I don't know of a single one who hunts just to kill. Most are on a tight budget and this is a way to provide food for their family. My F-I-L always has a freezer full of meat and when it gets full, he gives us some for our freezer. It never goes to waste.

Let's just say that if I'm ever in a crowded room and some nut comes in trying to shoot up the place I'd rather he have one than the other.

Most mass killers don't have training and probably don't much care how powerful their guns are so long as they shoot out enough bullets at a crowd.

Well there was a case here i believe in 1986 were my dad and the cops here investigated a case where a guy killed 8 deer and stacked them in the woods and left them there. They said it was quite disturbing for he just removed the deer balls and gutted the deers and left there guts too hang out.

I'm not surprised. Contrary to the ideas people are trying to jam down your throats, women and men ARE different. Men tend to act and base decisions on reason/thought while women tend to be more emotional creatures. Combine that with the possibility that these women came from a "traditional" family where the man does the hard work while the women gets stuck at home taking care of kids it's really not that surprising to find that the women were helpless and couldn't come together to get things done. I haven't watched the entire video, but I remember reading about this show before. Less than 40 seconds into the video the women are bossing that man around and sticking them with all the chores. I'm going to guess that the ladies wanted to treat the situation like a vacation while the men did all the work.
