He's learned a lot from the last election apparently.
I don't agree with some of it, but he should be broadcasting that gif left and right.

Jesus fucking christ people. This is why I kept telling the "Bernie would have won" crowd that he was never really vetted in 2016 and that a lot more dirt about him would have come out in the general election.

It's such a stupid thing to get on him for.
I'm trying to figure out if he's deliberately misrepresenting him or is just illiterate.

It's such a stupid thing to get on him for. I'm trying to figure out if he's deliberately misrepresenting him or is just illiterate. It's not exactly misrepresentation, the video's there. It probably shouldn't be the deciding factor in whether anyone votes for him, but it's worth talking about. I know the etymology of what he's saying, but at the end of the day he's kind of needlessly saying something that sounds identical to a word that a lot of people have a very visceral response to and they maybe aren't going to stop and look it up in a dictionary when they hear it and have a reaction. It kind of speaks to the kind of thing someone is going to do when they haven't needed to worry about courting black voters for most of his political career.

He is trying to be more diverse with his inclusion of ethnicities and all this time - he's been criticized in the past for not being as inclusive as he needed to be

I can't keep up with Trump's tweetstorm - he's such a whiny blattass He's still whining about how SNL treats him so badly and never shows the other side of things I think I read last night's show was even a rerun. He went even further to ask the FCC to look into them because they're "colluding with Russia" I wrote on his twitter "Don't you have a country to ruin?" 'cause he's busy being a network censor

Knowing and loving his comedy when he started to become famous before he had his show, I'm not surprised.

At the very least the Electoral College needs more adjustment - at least to eliminate the "winner take all" method and adopt a "percentage of the popular vote" option. people will feel less discouraged to vote if their vote for the other candidate doesn't get totally wiped out completely. Something should be done. The E.C. has been adjusted in past years to try to reflect the popular vote more accurately, but in all four cases where the president was elected by the E.C. instead of the popular vote, it has been a Republican.
=================
Trump just recognized the Golan Heights as Israeli territory. That pretty much opens the door to any despotic leader in the world to justify the hostile takeover of new territory. Another FUBAR by Trump. Oh, and Pompeo said that Trump might have been sent from Heaven to protect the rights of Israel HAHAHAHAHA!!!! This announcement was just probably part of Trump's attempt at changing the subject of what everyone was talking about - that he's an immoral, lying cheating scumbag.
============= Jerod is supposedly talking to the Saudi's about nuclear secrets (in exchange for Trump and Kershner business deals I would guess). Kushner is profoundly ineligible for his security clearance, and he really shouldn't be conducting official business through WhatsApp and sending screenshots to his also unsecured email account. He's the one who told Trump to fire Comey because in business if you fire someone, your problem is solved - but Comey didn't go away and the law didn't go away hahaha, idiot.

Interesting read and he makes some good points although I'm still not terribly convinced that a straight popular vote wouldn't greatly benefit the coastal cities and leave most other areas in the dust. He points to the rural parts of California of which there are many (and also very conservative) but they're dominated by Democratic policy dictated by voters in the Bay area and southern California who would never, ever step foot in Shasta county or Butte county or Modoc county. In fact if you look at a map of California and look at how they vote by county, most of the state is red save for a blue sliver running down the coast. That blue sliver is what makes it a hard blue state hence the repeated calls by some crazies to divide the state into several which you may or may not have seen over the past couple years. That's exactly what advocates of the electoral college want to avoid. The author is right in pointing out that the founders didn't want a straight democracy which is so evident in the existence of the electoral college, the House, Senate, and Congressional voting procedures. They hated that idea and knew that a straight vote is a dangerous weapon. I think Ramplate has a good point in that eliminating the 'winner take all' method that most states have might be a start. I haven't looked that much into its pros and cons but on its face it makes sense, that is until a solid blue or solid red state sees its electoral votes dissipate and all the voters of the losing party start bitching again. But the call to eliminate the Senate is stupid and only started coming from people who are still sore about Kavanaugh. 'Why does Iowa have as many Senate seats as New York?' Because that's the whole fucking point.

yeah, the Senate has a purpose - unfortunately, they haven't been doing it. Quite a few of them need to be replaced because they've lost their integrity and true purpose.
They need to stop lining their pockets with Bribes from the lobbyists, special interest groups and big business bribes.
They need to add another Amendment to the Constitution (but they never will)
"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States."

Way too hard to prove they were complicit in it all.
90%of gop loves Trump. Get ready for 4 more years guys. As long as we don't hit a major recession (yield curve inversion pegs it at 6 to 18 months away perhaps, but take that with a grain of salt like most things about the economy) I think incumbent will cruise to a victory.

No, I don't think he has it in the bag. Plenty of people who wanted to try something new and/or didn't like Clinton are gonna change their tune next time. The recession is probably 12 months away, maybe sooner depending upon how long all the tariff wars continue. Plus the wind is about to hit everyone's tax cuts and returns and they'll blow away soon There are about three Democrats I think have a chance to go pretty far in the primaries
