The house is on track to pass the stimulus bill around March 8th so the "where are the checks?" people have about nine more days of pretending to not understand how the legislative process works before they can move on to their next bad faith argument. Two days early

One of my fears is that Trump not being on Twitter is going to work out in his favor over time. Here was someone who shot himself in the foot with an anti-aircraft cannon almost daily and his cannon was taken away.

Here was someone who shot himself in the foot with an anti-aircraft cannon almost daily and his cannon was taken away. I have to disagree. Out of sight, out of mind. As much as he railed against the media, their non-stop coverage of his absurd nonsense gained him the Republican nomination. He's the living embodiment of the saying that there's no such thing as bad publicity. Never forget that trump gained more Republican votes in the past election than any other Republican candidate in US history. His idiocy didn't deter Republicans. All it did was motivate Democrats and independents into voting.

The problem with Trump's Twitter is that even though his constant tweets were obvious propaganda, lies, and bullshit, he has a rabid fanbase that was hanging on every word and treating it like gospel. "It came directly from Trump, and must be true." Because of the constant flow, misinformation was spreading rapidly to the point where it was becoming dangerous, (reference point: January 6th).
I used to this it was just a place for a jackass to scream into a void, but it became clear it was doing far more harm than good.

I think it might be too early to tell at this point, he's only been out of office for 6 weeks but we'll see what kind of driving force he'll be in 2022 and 2024. Twitter or no Twitter he'll be getting a ton of press if he decides he's going to make his presence known and he probably will.

Trump having a platform is inevitable. Trump not having a platform every waking moment of every god damn day is a godsend.

Twitter or no Twitter he'll be getting a ton of press if he decides he's going to make his presence known and he probably will. I don't mean to imply that trump will literally be out of sight moving forward. His ego won't allow him to stay out of the spotlight for too long. The difference in 2022 will be that he will merely be backing certain candidates, rather than being one himself. That gives the mainstream media an excuse not to grant him the wall to wall coverage he used to get. He won't mind, because the lunatic fringe media will put everything he says on a loop, 24/7. As for 2024, we'll see. I still believe that trump truly doesn't want to be President anymore, but what he wants and what his ego demands are not the same thing. It's possible his ego will allow Don Jr. to run instead, or even his precious Ivanka, so that he doesn't have to deal with the headache. Either of them running would still place him firmly in the spotlight, after all. Regardless, idiocy will come out of his mouth every time he opens it.

Some day trump is going to accidentally claim to have done something that's actually true, and instantly drop dead for violating his deal with the devil.

That was something I bit my tongue about with my 91 year old, conservative grandmother the other day. She went on a rant about Biden and Democrats in general ending with "People always want somethin' for nothing, when they should be workin' for it!" Yet earlier in the day she was asking me when I knew when our stimulus money was coming.

Gen Z wants to cancel Eminem. Yet that generation has given us Lil Pump and Tekashi so fuck them double.

Gen Z wants to cancel Eminem. For what? Eminem is largely a lame ass mainstream rapper these days.
