Wyldstaar , you jinxed it. The Hobbit knocked Spider-Man out of the Top 10.

Still, four out of ten is a crazy high number for something like this. Besides, if any of those movies deserved to be knocked out of the Top Ten, it was Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The next monster year for comics-to-film looks to be 2017, with Marvel Studios boosting their output to three films per year and WB is releasing three as well. On top of that, Fox's Wolverine 3 as well as Fantastic Four 2 (assuming this year's film somehow doesn't crash & burn) is on the slate. Then there's Sony, and WTF they finally settle on with Spider-Man. Sony previously claimed to be releasing two Spidey spin-offs in 2017, but I'll believe that when I see it.

Personally I think 2017 might be the year audiences start to feel overwhelmed. 2016 will fair better with established characters like Batman/Superman, Cap, X-Men, and a familiar face in Cumberbatch playing Strange.

What about the Xmen apocalypse movie? X-Men: Apocalypse is currently scheduled for release on May 27, 2016. I suspect 2017 won't ultimately be as crowded as currently scheduled. The two Spidey spin-offs probably won't happen, and FF2 is contingent on this year's reboot working out. Also, it looks like Lego Batman has been moved to 2018, so that brings DC/WB down to two films in 2017.

When will people get bored of the same movies dominating? Hopefully this gives more money to smaller movies, but... I'm all comic movie'd out.
Now that all the big named actors are signing on... it is just getting depressing to me.
