I'm curious, largely because the Wachowskis are taking a backseat and Goddard can potentially bring a fresh perspective that was severely lacking in Resurrections. This franchise still has potential to go in interesting new directions. Hopefully whatever Goddard has brewing does that.

The retcon makes sense - different simulation means different rules, different Messiah. I liked putting the focus back on the relationship between the characters, which was a significant part of the first movie.

It was better than the third one at least, but a very unsubtle attempt at reclamation of a property.
