 Hey, IanTheCool . Do you wanna build a snowman?  I spent Christmas afternoon watching Frozen. This movie refuses to go away! Thank God I'm not a parent yet. I think I would have jumped off a window by now. And since I'm not in that position yet, I can still appreciate this movie. It brought back classic Disney. I know some people give Tangled the credit for that, or even The Princess and the Frog, but let's not kid ourselves. Frozen is the closest we've gotten to good ol' Disney. The only thing that bothers me is that it's CGI. I love CGI and the works of Pixar, DreamWorks and some of Disney's more recent output, but these type of movies work best in hand-drawn animation. I don't know why. They just do. But I understand CGI is a necessary evil since today's children don't respond to hand-drawn animation unless it's on television. And I have to give the filmmakers credit for trying the best they could under the circumstances. There are scenes in this movie that truly bring back the Disney spirit and I'm grateful for that. Thoughts/Comments? |
