Avi Arad is a typical example of failing upwards. First Arad works at Toy Biz, which near as I can tell, he was good at. Then he works to merge Toy Biz and Marvel. The merger runs both companies into the ground, killing Toy Biz entirely while Marvel gets restructured in bankruptcy. Then Arad begins working in Marvel Entertainment's film licensing arm, and after actual film makers turn Marvel properties into big hits at the box office, he manages to convince Hollywood that he's a film maker too. Being a Sony movie with Avi Arad doesn't really excite me that much. Neither does Wes Ball directing. But I suppose if the Kingdom Apes film turns out good, this might put the Zelda movie more on my radar.
After the success of Super Mario Bros, I'm kind of surprised they went this route.

No doubt what you saw! I just watch Super Mario Bros movie and that was so incredible movie! Can't wait to watch Zelda movie! I'm pretty confident about it. It will be interesting for sure! |
